Revolut, the London-based finance app founded in 2015 by Nik Storonsky and Vlad Yatsenko, has closed a secondary share sale that values it at $115 billion, TechCrunch and Finance Magnates reported on 4 November. That is 53% more than the $75 billion set in a share sale a year earlier, and Finance Magnates calls it Europe's most valuable private company.

The sale was led by existing investors Glade Brook Capital Partners, Coatue, Durable Capital Partners, T. Rowe Price Associates and Baillie Gifford. It was a secondary sale: employees and other shareholders sold some of their shares to investors, and Revolut itself raised no new money. The company declined to say how much stock was sold, TechCrunch reports.

The deal has been months in the making. Revolut confirmed in July that a secondary share sale was under way, when Bloomberg reported a price of $2,017 a share and the same $115 billion valuation, Tech.eu reported at the time. What is new is that the sale has closed and the lead buyers are named.

Why investors pay up

Revolut makes money at a scale few fintechs reach. Revenue rose 46% to £4.5 billion (about $6 billion) in 2025, and pre-tax profit rose 57% to £1.7 billion (about $2.3 billion), a 38% margin, according to its annual results as reported by Finance Magnates in March. It ended 2025 with 68.3 million retail customers and now has more than 80 million in over 40 countries, TechCrunch reports.

Its business banking arm, Revolut Business, accounts for about 20% of gross profit, processes more than £36 billion in transactions a month and has more than 800,000 business customers, James Gibson, who runs it, told TechCrunch. The target is one million businesses by 2027.

Banks next, then a listing

This year Revolut launched banks in the UK, Mexico, Australia and New Zealand and holds banking licences in France, Colombia and Argentina. It has conditional approval from the US Office of the Comptroller of the Currency for a national bank, which it plans to open in the first half of 2027, subject to final approval, TechCrunch reports.

A stock market listing is further off. Storonsky has weighed a dual listing in New York and London and prefers a US listing, and reports suggest it would come no earlier than 2028, according to TechCrunch.
